Cannstatt Couture: The 2026/2027 Away Jersey
The journey through Bad Cannstatt’s history continues, taking us back to times long past. These times lend the VfB’s away jersey its golden luster. With the jerseys for the 2026/2027 season, VfB pays tribute to its home district of Bad Cannstatt. The home jersey, unveiled on July 8, 2026, highlights the area’s abundant mineral water reserves. Now comes the next part of this tribute: The away jersey commemorates the early history of Bad Cannstatt. It was created in close collaboration with equipment supplier JAKO and main sponsor LBBW—and takes fans and members on a journey far back in time.
Archaeological excavations throughout Baden-Württemberg have unearthed a multitude of artifacts. This is also true of Bad Cannstatt: As can currently be seen on the edge of the Cannstatt Spa Park, a large number of finds from the Roman era have been preserved. However, there is evidence that tribes commonly referred to as “Celts” were already settled in this region as early as the middle of the 1st millennium B.C. In Bad Cannstatt, during the first half of the 20th century, a significant gold find was made in two ceremonial graves from that period; this find is now on display at the Württemberg State Museum in the “Altes Schloss” in Stuttgart. This gold find inspired the design for the 2026/2027 away jersey of the Cannstatt boys.
History and Tradition Combined: The jersey features a striking combination of a gold base color and a black chest band. The history of the neighborhood and the tradition of the Cannstatt club are brought together in a high-quality design. The sleeve cuffs, also in black, are adorned with an abstract pattern reminiscent of the Cannstatt gold discovery. In addition, the all-over embossing on the jersey fabric echoes the decorative elements of the craftsmanship of that era. The high-quality embroidered VfB crest badge is—similar to the home jersey—deliberately larger. It rounds out the design in gold and black. Following the journey along the timeline, the collar features a depiction of the 19th-century Cannstatt jug.
Made primarily from recycled materials: All adult and children’s sizes are now available online as well as at the VfB fan shops at the stadium, in downtown Stuttgart, and at Breuningerland in Ludwigsburg. The jerseys are manufactured in JAKO’s customary first-class quality and are made primarily from recycled materials.
