Going into the last day of the 1991/1992 season, Frankfurt, Dortmund and VfB were all level on points at the top of the table – probably the most exciting final day of all time. VfB faced Bayer Leverkusen and went 1-0 down early on. The title looked to be lost, but goal machine Fritz Walter gave VfB hope with the equaliser. The 3000 VfB fans cheered on ten-man Stuttgart, still dreaming of the impossible. Ludwig Kögl played in a cross in the 86th minute, and it was headed in by Guido Buchwald. VfB Stuttgart won the game 2-1 and celebrated a dramatic fourth title. The shirt is a detailed replica of the original championship shirt from the 91/92 season.
